Having joined the Smart Cities cluster at imec-SMIT in September 2016, Gavin McCrory works on projects related to behaviour change theory and practice, often involving ICT technologies and across domains such as mobility, energy and open data. He has demonstrated research experience addressing issues related to decarbonised mobility, experience with living lab theory and practice, and a skill set encompassing multiple qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
Gavin graduated in 2016 from his MSc in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University, Sweden. Further, he holds an Erasmus graduate degree in Sustainability from the University of Cyprus, Nicosia and an Upper Second Class Honours degree in BSc Geography, Queens University Belfast.
Gavin contributes to the following European projects: hackAIR - Collective Awareness for Air Quality, FloodCitiSense and the SmarterLabs Project - Improving Anticipation and Social Inclusion in Living Labs for Smart City Governance. Gavin also contributes to smart city cases within the City of Things project in Antwerp.
