Ang Jia Cong is an architect and urban planner working in the field of resettlement, informal housing systems, sustainable urban design, and planning analyses. She is currently working as an Urban Design Officer in the field of Sustainable Planning and Resettlement at the UN-Habitat Headquarters, Urban Planning and Design Branch in Nairobi, Kenya - focusing on the Kalobeyei New Settlement for refugees in Kenya and institutional capacity development programmes.
An alumni of the Masters of Architecture Program at the National University of Singapore’s School of Design and Environment, Jia Cong has previous work experience on urban planning and design in Singapore, Korea, and Kenya and has conducted scoping missions to Cambodia, Thailand and West Kalimantan. She is also an advocate for the Major Group for Children and Youth, contributing to discussions for Habitat III, and the New Urban Agenda.
