The topical session “Innovative Building Materials” focuses on promising examples of innovative building material technologies that have already reached (pre)commercial scale and will discuss the drivers and barriers for further implementation.The objective of this session is to provide a policy-focused dialogue on how innovative building material innovations can help companies, communities and governments to meet a range of different goals.
Presentations are dealing with standardization and harmonization, specific route maps to meet the SDG goals, construction efficiency with the goal to create ecological and sustainable buildings throughout the world. Topics cover the most recent developments in innovative building material technologies. The final program with speakers will announced soon. It will include presentations from UN Habitat, European Commission (DG ENV), National policy makers, the European Space Agency (ESA), European Associations representing different kind of building materials, and others.
